About Freedom Family Investments

Built by people who started exactly where you are.

Freedom Family Investments helps high-income professionals build passive income through recession-resilient real estate. We were not built in a boardroom. We were built deal by deal, lesson by lesson, by people who needed the same answers you do now.

The financial advice industry is loud, technical, and easy to feel overwhelmed by. Most physicians who come to us are not new to wealth. They're new to feeling calm about it. That's the work we do, removing confusion, pressure, and shame from investing so people can actually move forward.

Why we exist

The financial advice industry was not designed for high-income professionals. It was designed for the average American, savers earning $60,000 a year who need help with budgeting, basic retirement contributions, and a 60/40 portfolio.

That advice doesn't work for physicians, dentists, attorneys, and engineers earning multiples of that. The math is different. The tax exposure is different. The timeline is different. The risks are different.

We built Freedom Family Investments to fill that gap. Not as a financial advisory firm, we are not registered as one. As a real estate investment company that partners with high-income professionals to deploy their capital into assets the public markets do not offer: needs-based real estate, in stable markets, with operators who have lived through full market cycles.

Our investors are everyday high-income professionals, surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, engineers, and business owners, who deserve access to the same institutional-quality real estate that used to be available only to the ultra-wealthy. Our $25,000 minimum and 12% average return targets are intentional. We believe wealth-building shouldn't be a members-only club.

That's the company. That's why we exist.

The track record

$1B+

in assets collectively managed

$250M+

collectively raised in investor capital

12%

average returns

100%

investor payout history on prior investments

Zero

capital calls or equity dilution

The firm has historically made distributions on prior investments; however, outcomes vary by investment, and no representation is made that future investments will perform similarly. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

But the numbers are not what we are most proud of.

What we are most proud of are the physicians, dentists, engineers, and business owners who came to us financially stressed and left financially confident, with a clearer plan, a more diversified portfolio, and a relationship they can rely on for the next twenty years.

That's what this company was built to create.

The people behind the work

Dani Lynn Robison

Dani Lynn Robison

Founder & CEO

Dani Lynn Robison began her investing journey nearly twenty years ago, after leaving a career at Walt Disney World in pursuit of three freedoms she could not find in any employment contract: time freedom, money freedom, and location freedom.

She survived the Great Recession of 2008 and built eight real estate businesses from scratch, turnkey, construction, property management, and private lending among them. Along the way she made the transition from operator to allocator, from managing properties to managing capital, and from building personal wealth to helping others build theirs.

Today she is the founder and CEO of Freedom Family Investments. She is the author of Calm Money Never Panics and Prosperity Rx: A Doctor's Guide to Financial Planning, Wealth and Passive Income, and a TEDx speaker (The Power of Chaos). She lives in Florida with her husband Flip.

Binit Shah, MD

Senior Strategist

Binit Shah, MD found Freedom Family Investments after two decades of practicing medicine, triple board certified in Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, and Addiction Medicine, valedictorian of his college class, co-editor of an Oxford University Press textbook, and still feeling like something was missing from his financial picture.

He had income. He had discipline. He had the analytical skills medical training builds over a lifetime. What he did not have was the right framework for deploying all of it.

After joining the firm as an investor, he eventually joined the team as Senior Strategist. He brings the perspective most physicians never get to hear: a doctor's voice, on a doctor's behalf, in conversations physicians do not usually get to have.

He co-authored Prosperity Rx with Dani.

What makes us different

Five things, in order. Read them slowly.

01

100% Payout History

Not 99%. Not "almost always." Every investor. Every payment. Across every market cycle, 2008, COVID, the rate spike of 2022–23. The receipts exist and we show them. This is the number that ends every conversation about trust.

02

Simple Structure with Preferred Fixed Returns

No guesswork. No equity rollercoaster. No waiting years to find out what you made. Our investors receive preferred fixed returns, which means they get paid first. The structure is designed so that complexity never becomes confusion.

03

Vertically Integrated

Key parts of acquisition, operations, and asset management are coordinated within our network, not outsourced to people we don't know and can't evaluate. That integration is what allows us to move fast, protect quality, and stay accountable at every stage.

04

Allocators with Two Decades of Operator Experience

We don't just place capital. We have lived in the trenches as operators, acquiring, renovating, managing, and selling hundreds of properties across multiple market cycles. That operational depth is what lets us evaluate operators and deals with a level of scrutiny most allocators simply don't have.

05

Investor Alignment. We Get Paid Last

Our interests and our investors' interests move in the same direction. We invest our own capital alongside our investors and we are structured so that our team gets paid after our investors are made whole. That's not just a philosophy, it's how the documents are written.

What we invest in, and why

We focus on a narrow set of asset classes for one reason: people need them no matter what the market is doing. Recessions, rate spikes, inflation, market panics, through every cycle since 2008, demand for these assets has remained structurally strong. That's not a hope. That's a thesis built on what people actually need.

Multifamily housing. Apartment communities in growth markets across the Midwest, Southeast, and Texas. Housing demand is structural. People need places to live regardless of what the stock market does that quarter.

Senior housing and assisted living. The demographics here are not speculative. Ten thousand Americans turn 65 every day, and the need for senior care infrastructure is decades behind demand.

Self-storage. A surprisingly resilient asset class, historically counter-cyclical because life events (downsizing, divorce, relocation) drive demand in both good times and bad.

We aren't investing in office. We aren't investing in retail. We aren't chasing what's trending. We invest in what people actually need, in markets where population is growing, with operators who have track records that pre-date 2008.

The structure matters. Our investments have not had capital calls. Our investments have not had equity dilution events. Our investors know what they signed up for, and we work hard to honor it.

All investments involve risk, including the potential loss of principal. Information about specific investment opportunities is available only through formal offering documents, which contain material information including risk factors that should be carefully reviewed prior to making any investment decision.

How we work with high-income professionals

The first conversation is a 20-minute Clarity Call. There is no obligation, no pitch, and no pressure.

What we do in 20 minutes:

  1. 1

    Identify your current financial mode

Preservation, growth, or a combination, so the rest of the conversation is grounded in your actual situation.

  2. 2

Walk through how real estate is taxed

For your specific investor profile. We use scenario-based examples covering passive LPs, REPS households, and high-income professionals.

  3. 3

    Share our deal evaluation framework

The same lens we apply to every market, asset class, and operator we consider. Whether or not you ever invest with us, you walk away a sharper investor for life.

  4. 4

Add you to our private investor list

Our deals are typically oversubscribed and fill before they are publicly announced. Being on the list gives you advance access.

  5. 5

Discuss our Co-Ownership Partner Program, if it fits

A structure that allows select investors to co-own assets directly alongside us, with institutional-level tax advantages most high-income professionals never access because they don't know they exist.

If it makes sense for you, we tell you. If it doesn't, we don't waste your time.

All scenarios discussed during the Clarity Call are illustrative and educational. Tax, legal, and financial outcomes depend on individual circumstances and must be validated with your CPA, attorney, or financial advisor. Freedom Family Investments does not provide individualized tax, legal, or financial planning advice.
